I lucked out in the doctor department. I have a good and reasonable priced Lyme doctor(LLMD), Dr.Norton Fishman in Rockville. His cost is 375.00 for an hour and a half first time visit, and 140.00 for follow up.Dr. Fishman understands that chronicly ill patients do not always come loaded with money.I didn't have to pay 850.00 to see a good doctor. So to Sick and Tired, I know your frustration because I have come across your same problem but Dude, you don't need to pay 850.00 for your first consult to get well, go to Dr. Fishman if you are in Maryland. He knows about mold, toxins, Lyme, fatigue He's a good dude too, tests for everything. You will get treated well too, no phone games like Shoemaker and his staff are into.I got tired of the nonescence too and then got turned on to Norton Fishman. It was a wait of about 2 and a half months to get in, but without big hurdles to climb over, no games either and well worth the wait.He is a nutritionist too so I am getting my health back and rebuilding my immune system. http://www.mdjunction.com/doctor/norton-l.-fishman/105911

  1. I went to Dr. Fishman 3 times. He prescribed two different antibiotics, one I was allergic to. Also prescribed a grocery bag full of vitamins and compounds that all tole was $3,900.00 charged to my credit card. The results of my blood test were from Palo Alto California, 14 viles of blood, the center for disease control told me that one bacteria they identified only occurs in CATS. I cancelled my credit card as he would not return my calls. Beware.

    2. I'm sorry you had that experience. I had a similar experience with him and his staff. While I think he may have started out as a good doctor, selling supplements may have been more lucrative than curing patients. An antibiotic he prescribed me put me in the hospital for weeks, and he denied there could be any negative side effects from it. I'm glad he has indeed seemed to help some people, but I wish I had gone to his practice.

  2. He and his office are the best most experienced Lyme doctors I have ever dealt with. I work outside and have had numerous tick bites! I have been treated for Chronic Lyme Disease, Babesia and Bartonella. Dr. Fishman and Dr. Afrooz are amazing! They have saved my life and brought me to FULL Recovery!

  3. I am a firm believer of Dr. Fishman and his staff. He saved my life. Bartonella is not only found in cats. Dr Fishman works with you. If you had told him couldn't afford the supplements he will work with you to prioritize the ones that are most important. I have referred numerous people to him and all have been very grateful that I found him 12 years ago. My mother even thanked him for saving my life. I have battled this all my life., since I was 5 based on my mothers analysis. I am 51 and started my treatment with Dr. Fishman at 39. I know I wouldn't be alive today without him. Sorry you had a bad experience but it might be your fault as well. I am publishing this anonymously as I choose not to have my medical issues available to be found by potential employers on the web. Good luck to you I hope you find a doctor who can help you like Dr. Fishman has done for me.
